Choose the heat and controls that suit your home

The Camilla XL has an internal volume of 8.2m³ before any allowance for extra glass. An 8kW or 9kW heater is the normal electric choice. Harvia’s manuals show 230V single-phase and 400V three-phase connections for the SW80, Cilindro PC90 and Spirit SP90XW, so a three-phase supply is not essential.

1. Harvia SW80, 8kW (7–12m³): A wall-mounted heater with built-in manual controls. It suits the standard Camilla XL and can be connected to either 230V single-phase or 400V three-phase power. Manufacturer installation manual (PDF).

2. Harvia Cilindro PC90, 9kW (8–14m³): A floor-standing stone-tower heater with built-in manual controls. It provides a larger stone capacity and can be connected to either 230V single-phase or 400V three-phase power. Manufacturer installation manual (PDF).

3. Harvia Spirit SP90XW, 9kW with Wi-Fi (8–14m³): A compact wall-mounted heater with an included Xenio Wi-Fi control panel and MyHarvia app control. It supports either 230V single-phase or 400V three-phase power. Manufacturer installation manual (PDF).

4. HUUM Drop 9kW with UKU Wi-Fi control: A wall-mounted heater with a 55kg stone capacity and remote control through the UKU app. It can be configured for 230V single-phase or 400V three-phase power when installed in line with HUUM’s wiring guidance. Manufacturer installation manual (PDF).

5. Harvia M3 wood-burning heater and chimney (6–13m³): A traditional wood-fired option for sites where a suitable flue, hearth and clearances can be provided. Electrical requirement: every electric heater needs a dedicated circuit and final connection by a qualified electrician. A 9kW heater draws roughly 40A on 230V single-phase. Your electrician must confirm the property has sufficient capacity and specify the cable, protective devices, isolation and installation method from the manual and site conditions.

What is Thermowood?

Thermowood stands out as the material of choice for the Camilla Sauna, thanks to its exceptional qualities. This thermally treated pine wood undergoes a specialised thermal modification process, significantly reducing its moisture content.

Less Warping

Through the process of gradually heating and cooling the timber, all resins, sugars, and impurities are extracted. Closing the cell structure results in a moisture content of only 7%, making the timber incredibly stable, durable, and free from impurities that may attract insects. This meticulous method ensures a high-quality sauna that will provide a comfortable and refreshing experience. 

Increased Durability

This not only enhances its resistance to warping, shrinking, and rot but also ensures superior durability. With low thermal conductivity, Thermowood offers a gentle, slow heat-up, promising a more enjoyable and comfortable sauna experience.
